AGROXYBER SYSTEM for monitoring lameness and fatness OF COWS

Neural network video analytics – technologies that see right through!

+ Determination of lameness of cows
+ Identification of cattle by skin
+ Assessment of fatness
AGROXYBER - cow health assessment system

The system allows continuous monitoring of cattle health for effective herd management

1. Determination of lameness of cows

  • Tracking the development of lameness,
  • Comparison of the frequency and degree of lameness between animal groups,
  • Identification of the diseased limb.

2. Assessment of the fatness of cattle

  • Identification of cattle health problems,
  • Detection of abnormalities in the feeding system,
  • Maintaining the health of the herd, Improvement of milk productivity.

3. Identification of cattle by skin

  • Identification without sensors,
  • High identification accuracy 99%,
  • A complete visual assessment of each cow.
Why monitor the health status of cattle?
  • Dairy herd health
The detection of lameness and sudden changes in fatness show health disorders. If a cow is sick and refuses to eat, her fatness score may change dramatically within a week. It is important to help the animal in time!
  • Dairy productivity
Cows need to maintain an optimal level of fatness and calf with a good fat reserve, which will allow them to produce more milk at the beginning of lactation.
450 g of fat = 3.2 liters of milk with a fat content of 4%
  • Fertility of cows
From foreign studies by Dr. Paul Frecker, University of Wisconsin-Madison, it is known about the direct effect of fatness during early lactation on the frequency of conception at first lactation.
Cows with reduced fatness have 25% of cases of fertilization.unchanged fatness is a 40% rate of fertilization, with an increase in fatness (from 3.0), the fertilization rate can reach 80%.

System interface
The main screen displays the ID of the animal, an image of a cow from three angles, an assessment of fatness in a 5-point system and an assessment of lameness.
Comprehensive analysis of cow health and productivity
Data on identification, assessment of fatness, age, lameness are systematized in the table. This analysis is used by specialists to make decisions.
Module 1: Determination of lameness of cows

The lameness score is determined by key morphological points and tracking of the joints of the free extremities.

With 3 points of lameness, the system identifies the affected limb and sends a signal to specialists.

Module 2: Assessment of fatness of cattle

  • View dorsally
Hook bones, sciatic tubercles, hip joints, wide pelvic ligament, lumbar region
  • View laterally
Spinous and transverse processes of the lumbar vertebrae, a line from the hook bones to the hip joint and sciatic bumps
  • View caudally
Hook bones and sciatic tubercles, the arch between the sacral bumps and make loki, the area of the wide pelvic ligament, the area of the root of the tail
  • Fatness is assessed from three angles
Key points for calculating the fatness score according to the international 5-point methodology are indicated on each angle
Module 3: Cattle identification

The identification module works together with the definition of lameness and fatness. Collectively, the entire system provides a complete assessment of the health status of cows with reference to its ID number in the herd management system.

How does neural network video analytics work?
Cameras

We install cameras on the farm and get real-time images. The video stream is being prepared for processing by our system.

Video stream processing
According to the BCS methodology (Body Condition Score), we determine the fatness score and lameness of the cow, identify the cow and deduce a comprehensive assessment of the cow's health.
Fatness Analytics
The resulting assessment of the cow's health is compared with data for the past day or any selected period, and the system outputs analytics for the herd.
Advantages of AGROXYBER
  • Scientific approach
Scientific consultants from Perm State Agrarian and Technological University are involved in the development of the product. Academician D. N. Pryanishnikov and the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine.
In the joint cooperation of technical specialists with scientists, high-quality products are being created!
  • Video analytics on a dairy farm in Perm (Russia)
The agroholding Rus LLC is piloting a System for assessing the health of animals on the farm. Cameras are installed on the farm, the video stream is processed by our neural network to obtain data on the fatness of cows, their identification and the fullness of the feed table.
  • Russian Software
The neural network video analytics module is integrated into the iXyber platform, the copyright holder of Industrial Cybernetics.
  • Proprietary neural network
Our neural network is constantly being improved and trained for new tasks: cattle lameness, animal identification, determination of fatness of cows, bonification, feed table and others.

Cooperation with AGROXYBER

Implementation of our system on the farm in 3 steps:

  • 1
